Wait, there’s actually a Pigman legend? And here I thought we just stepped into a Seinfeld episode. So today we’re gonna piggy back our way (that was really stupid, I’m sorry) to Northfield, Vermont. One night in the year 1971, a farmer was hearing strange noises in his backyard. Curious, he went out to investigate, expecting to find a raccoon going through his trash. However, turning on the light outside revealed something more horrifying. The farmer saw that a hideous creature covered in white hair standing over his trash. The creature had the body of a man and the facial features of a pig. They both stared at each other for a few seconds before the creature ran into the woods. Later dubbed the “Pigman”, sightings of the Pigman continued. Another sighting involved a group of high school students at a school dance. A group of students were out back in the sandpit drinking beer when they said that something emerged from the woods. It was a tall creature covered in white hair that walked on two legs and had the face of a pig. The students became deathly afraid and ran back inside to where the dance was being held. Some students ran out to possibly catch a glimpse of this supposed Pigman, but it had disappeared. The only evidence they found was that the grass and underbrush had been trampled down.

Yay, another [insert animal name here]man! We’ve got the Goatman, Wolfman, Lizardman, Batman, what’s next, the Squirrelman? And like most other state-specific creatures like this one, there’s no actual evidence that the Pigman exists. All we have are eyewitness accounts. Are these accounts enough for me to believe the Pigman is really out there. No, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think it could exist. Maybe we just haven’t found/captured any solid evidence yet (apparently some locals later found some caves with gnawed animal bones in them and hoof prints on the ground. Bones were also found hidden in the town’s only pig farm. This led some to theorize that the Pigman was responsible for the disappearances of local animals, and even a teenage boy. I don’t think those discoveries prove anything, but it’s still worth noting.). So, what do you all think? Is there really some kind of half man, half pig creature running around Vermont or is this just some wacky local legend?
