Minnesota - Ghost Train. “50 States of Freaky!” Vol. 23

Be sure you’re all caught up with this series! “50 States of Freaky”

———-

Are ghost trains like the Midnight Meat Train? I don’t know, I only saw the last 10 minutes of that movie and when it ended i was like ‘that was stupid.’ Maybe I should actually watch the whole thing some time. But back on topic. Ghost trains! Something you probably didn’t know did/could exist, but it does! So today we’re head to Minnesota to investigate claims of a ghost train. So back in 2006, a group of friends in Elk River, Minnesota went night fishing at a pond next an a long-abandoned railroad track. A short while after they arrived, the friends were shocked to hear the sound of a train approaching. As the train sped by them, they heard a blood-curdling scream come from the train and then they saw something fly off the last car and land in some bushes on the opposite side of the tracks. Suddenly, something erupted from the bushes and enveloped the friends in an Earth-shaking wind. Terrified, the group fled the scene without looking to see what fell into the bushes and caused the blast.

You see, this is why I prefer night over the daytime. Shit like this never happens during the day! But anyway, I’ll be honest. To me this sounds like some internet creepy pasta. Now keep in mind, ghost trains are a real phenomenon, it’s nothing new or recent. But this particular story sounds like a creepy pasta. The reason I say this is because no real info come up about ghost trains in Minnesota. This is really the only story that come up if you search for ghost trains in Minnesota. Plus, the main ‘premise’ of the story sounds like most creepy pastas. A group of friends do something at night next to some old abandoned thing and creepy shit happens. This story can be found on a website where people tell their paranormal encounters. And while those websites are all fine and good, I believe that most accounts that come from those types of websites are all fake. So despite me thinking this particular tale is just some creepy pasta, I still like it a lot. it’s a cool story. But, what do you think? Since the ‘ghost train’ phenomenon is very much real, do you think this particular tale is true or is it something that was fabricated on the internet just to scare people? Do you believe ghost trains are real?
